Cunningham & Cunningham, Inc., has posted a wiki page that suggests a promising solution to writer's block:
Place a rubber duck on your monitor and describe your problems to it. There's something magical about stating your problems aloud that makes the solution more clear.
Maybe after talking to your duck, you'll find that you can write her (duck) or him (drake) a short e-mail message about what you discussed. Before you know it, you'll have the beginnings of the draft you couldn't write.
(Thanks to 43 Folders for the tip. The rest of the 43 Folders posting includes other good suggestions for the procrastinating writer.)
